As so often happens this time of year, I have many vacation days to take or lose. This year I had it all planned, what I was going to do, allowing for the odd unexpected happening but still getting a lot done.
With my website up and running by a webmaster, Debby West, in Boulder, Colorado and doing a wonderful job, none-the-less, I wanted to do more with it. As a gift to myself for this holiday time I purchased Netscape Publishing, installed it and was really thinking I was going to accomplish learning how to use it and a lot more. After that I could then retrieve my web pages, edit them and be in some form of control. Ahhh...yes that word. Well, Mercury was in retrograde, OK. when I say down to install my NP, I discovered there were error messages on the monitor. I called for assistance and was told that perhaps it was a defective CD and I should attempt to get another. Well I did get another but I wasn't going to go through that again so I called for technical assistance to come out and uninstall and correct other problems and reinstall NP. But that wasn't to be until Jan. When I would be going back to work.
Much of the time that I thought I had, I felt like I was spinning my wheels. When I sat down to contemplate the situation from a detached view, it was very clear. Don't push and keep pushing at something. If it doesn't go, Let it go!. There have been a number of other things that I have been wanting to do, but didn't think I had the time. Well,....now was the time.
Another very important part also, I was to expend my time and energy in sending healing energy during these last days of the new year. The previous month I had to forego being involved in the first Reiki Conference in Wichita put on by the Reiki Empowerment Group, due to circumstances beyond my control. While surfing the internet one evening, late in November, I came across something that caught my eye. It was "Usui21dayRetreat" and I signed up to be a part of this but I had forgotten. They e-mailed me and I was certain this was how I was to use my time. The e-mail informed me to go to another site to see what they had done last year. I have and am taking part in this and will twice a year from now on. It has been most uplifting. inspirational, healing experiences for me as well as for the various ones that I have been working with/on. With such short notice, I only notified a few people. Via the hard copy and web site of White Dove's Message I am informing many.
This is the second year for this event. It is an
'alone-together' 21 day retreat for Reiki Masters, those who are Reiki II level for
distant healing and for any who wish to meditate and do self healing. The Usui
Reiki method of fasting, or partaking of less than normal, meditating and focusing on
sending distant healing to Mother Earth, any and all who need healing on all levels as
well as all in the retreat and yourself for 21 days. This started with the winter
solstice, December 21 and last 21
days.
This group does this twice each year, on the summer
solstice and the winter solstice. For more information to see if this is something
